To strengthen our team in Thessaloniki, we are looking for a talented desktop publisher with graphic design skills. In this role, you will work on top-notch books and e-books, mainly in art history and archaeology. You will handle various typesetting projects, ensuring that our content is presented in the most professional way and the layout of our publications is consistent and of high quality. You will collaborate closely with our publishing managers, marketing and production team.
Desktop Publisher with a Passion for Design
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks that are crucial to our publishing process, mainly
₋ Designing and finalizing cover files for forthcoming titles.
₋ Preparing visual materials for typesetting, including processing and enhancing images and graphs and converting file formats.
₋ Typesetting books, primarily in art history and archaeology, as well as marketing materials: working systematically within various house styles, checking for errors, making adjustments, and processing corrections until the file is ready for print and digital output.
₋ Performing technical checks on final files for print, and converting and finalizing them according to printer specifications and PDF standards.
Are you the dedicated specialist who
₋ Has a strong background in desktop publishing or graphic design and an excellent knowledge of Adobe Cloud (InDesign, InCopy, Acrobat Pro,
Photoshop, Illustrator)?
₋ Combines creative graphic design skills with technical expertise in desktop publishing and is familiar with working with predefined InDesign templates to ensure the publisher’s visual identity?
₋ Is flexible, can manage multiple projects simultaneously, switch quickly, and prioritize tasks?
₋ Can meet deadlines while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and eye for detail, ensuring that the delivered work is always precise, correct, and error-free?
₋ Is proficient in English and has good communicating skills?
