To strengthen its team in Thessaloniki (Pylaia) and contribute to its dynamic business plan, Brepols is seeking a Bibliographic & Metadata Editor
Your Role
As bibliographer & metadata editor you will be responsible for locating appropriate publications, preparing bibliographic records, correcting publication metadata, assigning keywords, editing or updating legacy material, supervising external contributors, and liaising with an international team of specialists. Topics will cover European history, theology and religion, and other fields in the humanities.

Profile
₋ A relevant MA in history (preferably medieval or early modern European history) or theology and religious studies (including history of religion)
₋ A broad knowledge of European history and cultures, across countries, periods, languages, and disciplines
₋ Very good command of English and German; knowledge of French, other European languages, or Latin will be an advantage
₋ Familiarity with PC applications (Word, Excel); some knowledge of XML or databases will be an advantage
₋ You will be a very accurate, systematic, and efficient team player
₋ Editorial experience or proofreading skills are an advantage
