To strengthen our team in Thessaloniki, we are looking for an Typesetter (XML). This role focuses on the typesetting of scholarly books and journals using an XML-first workflow. You will ensure that our content is presented professionally, with layouts that are consistent and of highest quality. You will work closely with our publishing managers and other members of the production team.
In this role, your key responsibilities include:
• Typeset books and journal articles within an XML-first workflow: work systematically with pre-defined XML-standards and templates to arrange text, images, graphics, and tables into publication-ready layouts.
• Process author remarks and text corrections until files are finalized for print and digital publishing.
• Prepare titles for online publication on our digital content platform.
Your Profile:
• You have experience with XML or are motivated to learn it. A background in desktop publishing and/or Adobe Creative Cloud (Indesign, InCopy, Acrobat, …) is a plus.
• You enjoy working in a technical environment and appreciate systematic, detail-oriented tasks.
• You can work quickly and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.
• You take responsibility for projects, are flexible, and can manage multiple projects or deadlines while prioritizing effectively.
• You have a good command of written English and strong overall communicating skills.
• You have an interest in history, art, or culture, and are a team player who can also work independently.
