HellasQCI invites you to participate in the HellasQCI Winter School (Training Workshop) 2025, which will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 26 to 28 November 2025.
This three-day, free-of-charge training workshop will focus on Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Space-based QKD technologies, combining theoretical sessions, hands-on laboratory training, and expert presentations.

About the Workshop
The HellasQCI Winter School will address the fundamental aspects of quantum-secure communications, providing both academic and practical perspectives.
Participants will acquire:
- Comprehensive understanding of QKD principles and protocols
- Practical experience with terrestrial and space-based QKD systems
- Exposure to state-of-the-art research and technology demonstrations
The HellasQCI Winter School is open to students and early-career researchers in Quantum Physics, ICT, and Engineering, as well as scientists, university faculty, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders involved in the security of critical infrastructure and sensitive data. Beyond the technical training, participants will have the opportunity to network with leading experts and representatives from across Europe’s quantum communication ecosystem, contributing to national and cross-border collaborations within the framework of Greece’s national roadmap for quantum technologies, the European Quantum Communication Infrastructure (EuroQCI), and Europe’s broader vision for quantum sovereignty.
