NanoQ is hiring a Scientist or Engineer (CODE: NMS_1), between the ages of 18-29 y.o., registered in DYPA’s Digital Register, aimed at working on the development of novel nanomaterials in Industrial and Aerospace sector. Position is based in Veria, Greece. The ideal candidate must have solid knowledge of methodologies for materials synthesis, processing and characterization, with emphasis on nanomaterials used as polymer additives or in other high tech applications.
Main Responsibilities:
· Interact with senior personnel to consider design, development, testing and project planning aspects and collaborate with fellow scientists/engineers
· Review technical documentation and follow established practices and procedures to achieve overall project performance, schedule, and quality standards. Collaborate effectively with fellow scientists/engineers in Quality Assurance
Required Skills / Qualifications:
· Competence in the synthesis and functionalization of different types of nanomaterials
· Experience in designing material characterization methods, conducting the corresponding experimental tests and interpreting the results
· Familiarity with literature review in scientific journals and patents
Education and Experience:
· B.S./M.S. Degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science or relevant field
· 2+ years of professional experience as a scientist/engineer in materials, nanomaterials and/or composite materials ; demonstrated work on one or more of the following activities: analysis, design, implementation and testing of materials
Additional Requirements:
· Familiarity with Industrial and/or Space standards
· Technical writing, Presentation skills
· Methodical, quality and results-oriented
· Ability to work within tight timelines
· Ability to learn new technologies
· Good interpersonal skills, adaptive, team player, problem solver
· Very good written and oral communication skills in English
· Availability to travel abroad
