Career Services Office

The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Career Services Office (CSO) is dedicated to supporting students and graduates in their academic, professional and entrepreneurial development. Its mission is to facilitate the transition from higher education to the labor market by providing comprehensive career guidance, information and counselling services related to studies, employment and entrepreneurship in Greece and abroad. The CSO works closely with academic staff, employers, professional organizations and institutional partners at both national and international levels. Through these collaborations, it bridges the gap between academia and the labor market, serving as a key liaison between students, graduates, employers and the wider professional community.

The Career Services Office AUTh offers a wide range of services in the following areas:

Employment

  • Job openings in Greece and abroad
  • Internship opportunities in Greece and abroad
  • Information on medical specialties in Greece and abroad, rural medical practice and related workshops
  • Employer directories and company profiles
  • Graduate employment surveys, labor market studies, career guides & statistical reports on the Greek and international labor market

Studies

  • Postgraduate and doctoral programs in Greece and abroad
  • Scholarships, grants and other funding opportunities
  • Student mobility and exchange programs
  • Lifelong learning opportunities, including training programmes, seminars, conferences and career events for secondary school students

Individual and Group Career Counselling

  • Exploring career options and making informed career decisions
  • Developing and implementing a personalized career action plan
  • Job search strategies and techniques
  • Preparing professional application documents (CVs, cover letters, postgraduate application forms and personal statements)
  • Interview preparation and communication skills
  • Developing effective study skills and examination strategies
  • Enhancing international mobility and employability skills

Individual and Group Entrepreneurship Counselling

  • Business plan development

PARTNERSHIPS AND NETWORKING

The Career Services Office develops and maintains strategic partnerships with key stakeholders in order to enhance student and graduate career development, employability and entrepreneurial opportunities. These partnerships include:

  • Employers: Developing and maintaining partnerships with employers to facilitate graduate recruitment while supporting organizations in identifying qualified young professionals.
  • Professional Associations: Establishing long-term collaborations with professional associations, businesses and entrepreneurship support organizations.
  • Mentors: Coordinating a network of career and entrepreneurship mentors to support students and graduates.
  • Academic Advisors: Maintaining a network of faculty members who provide academic guidance and support for students’ educational and career development.
