ARE YOU A STUDENT / RECENT GRADUATE INTERESTED IN PROMOTING EQUALITY, DIVERSITY AND HUMAN RIGHTS?
Apply to the Humanity In Action Fellowship in Paris and Berlin in 2014
Humanity in Action is now accepting applications for our 2014 Fellowship Programs in Berlin and Paris, which will take place from May 30 to June 30, 2014.
The Humanity in Action Fellowship brings together international groups of students to explore national histories of discrimination and resistance, as well as examples of issues affecting different minority groups today. Participation to the fellowship program gives access to an international network of more than 1300 committed students around the world and internship opportunities in high-level institutions (European Parliament, US Congress, International civil society organizations).
Intensive and demanding, the Humanity in Action Fellowship features daily lectures and discussions with leading academics, journalists, politicians and activists, as well as site visits to government agencies, non-profit organizations, museums and memorials.
Humanity in Action will select 5 Greek university students and recent graduates who are mature, proactive, self-reliant, and comfortable in intensive group activity and interaction. Proficiency in English is required. All majors and academic disciplines are encouraged to apply at www.humanityinaction.org/pages/314-call-for-applications.
Applications are due on February 23, 2014. The Fellowship is fully funded.
This new initiative is generously supported by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.
ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
Humanity in Action is an international educational organization. We educate, connect and inspire a global network of more than 1,300 young leaders committed to promoting human rights, diversity and active citizenship—in their own communities and around the world. This new initiative aims at expanding Humanity in Action’s network to Greece. For the past 15 years, Humanity in Action has focused on challenges faced in Europe in regard to diversity, immigration, minority rights, attitudes about national and European identities, democratic inclusion and extremism. Many of these issues are especially pressing in Greece today. Through education, skills training and networking opportunities, Humanity In Action seeks to empower Greek activists and emerging leaders to become agents of change in their home society.
