The laboratory of Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology – Stem cells
(https://www.pasteur.gr/en/cellmolecneuro/) is seeking for exceptional and creative young scientists
to fill the post-doctoral research positions within the project “Development of a multi-parametric
morpho-functional platform to uncover disease mechanisms and druggable targets in patient-derived
cells: study of neuron-glia dynamics in alpha synuclein-mediated pathologies” funded by the Hellenic
Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) within the framework of the “1st Call for H.F.R.I.
research projects to support Faculty members and the procurement of high-value research equipment”
with Dr Rebecca Matsas as PI.
In particular, we seek for:
1. A post-doctoral research fellow with strong experience in bioinformatics that will work on the
analysis of Next Generation Sequencing data (RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, single cell transcriptomics)
from human induced pluripotent stem cell-derived astrocytes and neurons modeling Parkinson’s

2. A post-doctoral research fellow to support the development and operation of the High
Content/High Throughput Imaging Platform to be established. Skills in computational engineering,
algorithm development (MATLAB, R etc) and advanced digital image processing/ big data analysis
3. A post-doctoral research fellow with strong background in cellular and molecular (neuro)biology
and experience in cell culture, morphological and molecular analyses, and confocal microscopy.
